A San Diego native, Spencer received his BA in Theatre Arts from San Diego State University. He went on to perform with prestigious local theaters including The La Jolla Playhouse and The Old Globe. He had the great fortune of working with Tony Award-winning director Des McAnuff, who cast him in the world premieres of Palm Beach, Zhivago and The Farnsworth Invention. He moved to New York to reprise the character of Stan in The Farnsworth Invention and to understudy and perform the role of Philo Farnsworth (opposite Hank Azaria) on Broadway at The Music Box Theatre. When not in the theatre, Spencer runs a photography business taking head shots of actors. He currently resides in Manhattan where he enjoys playing with dogs in Central Park.
